You entered a deeper connection with your partner because you felt  and expected, that together, you would  have a better, happier life.

Those feelings are changing now. It seems this person who you connected with so well in the beginning has changed. Their   thoughts and actions don’t  fit with what  you want in life. These are not necessarily all the big things in life, but smaller things like who does what around the home. Small matters  are a source of constant arguments. We all change over time, but something doesn’t feel right now. Closeness has evaporated, and sometimes the distance   between you feels unbridgeable. Instead of comfort and security, your relationship now starts to feel stressful and uncertain. You are starting to have worries about the future for yourself, your children, or others that depend on you.

You have tried to make things better with them. When you try and discuss your worries, your partner shuts you down, or shuts down themselves. There is a block that despite your efforts, you cannot get around, and despite your efforts, the block does not go away, the distance gets wider.
